Lower-Cost Option for Previously-Listed CNC. $1,200!

No nibbles on my spindle-based CNC package, so I’m offering a more economical option for someone who wants to get going with CNC machining.

Instead of the 4-axis controller with UCCNC, VFD/3 HP spindle and touchpad computer, I’ll reinstall the original GRBL-based controller and DeWalt 611 router.

    Here are the details:

It’s a Canadian-built New-Carve 1000 by CNC4Newbie. This is an ideal machine for v-carving signs or cutting boards, building guitar bodies, necks and fretboards, milling furniture parts furniture and decorative arts.

    It’s a very precise, lead-screw driven machine that has a cutting capacity of 35.5” x 34”.

    Here’s what is included:

    • Dewalt 611 router with precision collet upgrade for 1/4-, 3/16-, and 1/8-inch bits
    • GRBL-based controller
    • Game pad pendant for moving the carriages (two of them: wired and wireless versions)
    • Touch-off plate for determining X, Y & Z home positions
    • Dust boot collector.
    • Spoilboard has dozens of ¼- 20 threaded inserts for mounting your fixtures and hold downs.

You will need to supply The PC (Windows, MacOSX, Linux, and Raspberry Pi) to run the machine via USB connection. The software is open source and free. I used a 10 year old laptop to run mine. I’ll help you set up your PC to get it going.

I have it mounted on a rolling table which I’ll include (if you want it). If you take the table, it will be all setup, calibrated and ready to carve.

All of the items shown below were created with this router-based configuration.

The DeLuxe package is still available:  https://guildoforegonwoodworkers.org/Buy/Sell/13502774
