Guest Speaker: Charles Freeborn
Born in the late 1950s, Charles Freeborn came of age when durability and craftsmanship were standard. That philosophy defines his work today. For over three decades, Charles designed and built fine furniture across a wide range of styles and materials, with a particular love for chairmaking. Today, his focus is limited-production and made-to-order work, adapting proven designs to each client’s needs while maintaining the integrity of hand craftsmanship. Charles work is primarily wood, often combined with metal, glass, or stone, and supported by a trusted network of skilled artisans. Every piece is built with the belief that it should outlive its maker—and be worth fighting over someday! Charles will be sharing his multiple decades of experience with the Guild.
