Chess Board, walnut and maple
  • Maple and Walnut chess boards with an Oak drawers. One board is convectional squares, turn it over and the other side has curvy squares. I make one for myself and one for my Grandson.
  • Tic Tax Toe box with continuous white oak wrapped grain, walnut top and keys. Sitting on a birch charcuterie board with a shop made locust, holly, and bloodwood inlay
  • When the lid is rotated the drawers pop out!, made of hemlock and walnut
  • the curly maple for this little box was from the stump of a big leaf maple tree. wooden hinge and walnut keys
  • a production run of coffee grinders made form madrone. I gave them to my sailing buddies at the end of the season.
  • My sister asked me to make an urn for my brother-in-law, this is what I came up with. Each one is made from the center cutout of the one bigger than it.
  • One of the first boxes I made, the corners are connected with biscuit joinery. I gave it to a friend for a house warming gift, I enjoy seeing it on the shelf in his living room.
  • A batch of small boxes I made as gifts for my wife's family when we visited them in Germany. Made of cherry, box joints with mitered top corners and pyramid sides cut on the bandsaw.
  • joining the tops to the side on the chess boards with biscuit joinery, so far they're still on there.
  • The oak drawers for the chess boards are ready for assembly.
